Each student's results are recorded within the Dystech assessment and categorised using percentiles according to the student's age.

Normed result indicated

Percentile range for age

Low (red)

0-5%

Below Average (red)

5-15%

Average (yellow)

15-85%

Above Average (green)

85-95%

High (green)

95-100%

Explanation

A result of Above Average, for example, means that the student scored similarly to approximately 85 to 95 of children within their age group.

Please note: the syllabication table provides an indication of where the student is in terms of decoding at the syllable level, while the fluency score reflects the student’s speed and accuracy on correctly read words ONLY.

Colour Coded

The results are colour coded for easy visual identification of where each student sits within the measurements. Some examples can be seen below:
